Giorgos Peristeris, the head of the group, stated that the Concessions sector is an important asset for the group, and they are currently considering various scenarios without making a final decision. He added that they are examining different options to find the optimal solution within a broader financial engineering context.
When asked about public works, Mr. Peristeris emphasized that they are interested in discovering new projects continually. Since they are delivering projects quickly, they are quickly reducing their backlog. He added that the organization is fully capable of implementing the contracts they have undertaken. Furthermore, half of TERNA's backlog relates to contracts within the GEK TERNA group.
Attiki Odos and VOAK
He estimated that despite the pending appeal to the Council of State, the contract for taking over Attiki Odos could be completed within the next few months, probably before the end of this year. Additionally, he mentioned that the Ministry of Finance has not issued the official record for VOAK, where the group prevailed in the relevant tender. Therefore, the procedures for declaring the group as a temporary contractor have not started yet.
