As mentioned by the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Sofia Zacharaki, in her interview on the ERT program "Sindeseis" with journalists Kostas Papachlimintzos and Katerina Douka: “Citizens will be able to access the Gov.gr platform and download an eligibility certificate. By entering their AADE details, they can submit an eligibility application and issue a certificate confirming that they are eligible potential beneficiaries. With this certificate, they will then go to the bank. If, in the first few days, someone cannot print the certificate, they can go to the bank with the required documents and later submit the eligibility certificate.”
It is reminded that the new "Spiti Mou II" program expands the age and income criteria. Individuals aged 25 to 50, with a minimum income of €10,000 and a maximum income depending on their family status, can apply: €20,000 for singles, €28,000 for married couples or those in cohabitation, with an additional €4,000 per child, and €31,000 for single-parent families with an additional €5,000 per child beyond the first. This aims to help them acquire their own home.
According to the Ministry, the expansion of the program’s eligibility criteria will ensure that approximately 60,000 additional apartments fall within the eligibility process. These apartments must be up to 150 square meters, excluding accessory spaces such as storage or parking, as defined by the latest legislative adjustment. They should also have been built before 2007. This represents older housing stock, which is, however, the most abundant in Greece.
Applications for "Spiti Mou II" will begin on Wednesday, January 15, and will be available to a total of 20,000 beneficiaries—young people, couples, and families—who will be able to acquire their own home.
The total budget of the program is €2 billion, with €1 billion coming from the Recovery and Resilience Fund and €1 billion from banks.
