Eurozone's construction activity plunges 2.4% in March

On an annual basis, construction output shrank by 1.5% in the euro zone and by 1.2% in the EU.

Eurozone construction activity fell by 2.4% in March compared to the previous month, according to Eurostat data.

Across the European Union, the rate fell by 1.9%. On an annual basis, construction activity shrank by 1.5% in the euro zone and by 1.2% in the EU.

The figures unveil that the annual construction output fell the most in Slovakia, down 10.3%, followed by Hungary's 9.8% decline and the Czech Republic's 6.1% decline.
