The evacuation drill at TERNA’s construction site in the IRC Hellinikon was recently carried out with complete success, practically testing the emergency response plan under a realistic fire scenario.

According to the publicly listed company, the exercise involved the safe evacuation of 35 employees from the tower, the rapid removal of injured personnel using certified stretcher baskets and cranes, coordination between the Emergency Response Team, First Aiders, and medical staff, as well as the monitoring of communication, coordination, and readiness across all teams.

"The exercise highlighted the importance of prevention, continuous training, and effective collaboration among employees, subcontractors, and TERNA executives. Through realistic scenarios and challenging conditions, procedures, equipment, and response times were tested, strengthening the preparedness of all involved teams. For TERNA, safety on the construction site is an absolute priority. Through systematic exercises, training, and continuous improvement of our processes, we cultivate a strong culture of prevention and responsibility on a daily basis," the company stated.
