In particular, the subsidies for July are structured as follows:
- Household consumption: horizontal coverage of all without exceptions and income criteria and without monthly consumption limits. The subsidy is 200 euros per megawatt hour, a size that absorbs up to 84% of the increase, and 240 euros for Social Household Tariff beneficiaries for whom up to 100% of the increase is absorbed.
- For professional tariffs with a supply power of up to 35 kva (bakeries, shops, patisseries, mini markets, kiosks, etc.) the subsidy is 192 euros per megawatt hour.
- For rural areas, 213 euros per megawatt hour.
- For the rest of the professional and industrial sectors with a supply power of more than 35 kva, a subsidy of 148 euros per megawatt hour.
- For professional and industrial consumption of natural gas, 30 euros per megawatt hour.
With these data, the total amount of subsidies for July rises to 722 million euros, a size that is 300 million euros higher than in June.
In total since September, when the subsidies on energy bills began, the amount that has been spent exceeds 5 billion euros and is, as Mr. Skrekas pointed out, the largest in the EU in proportion to the GDP and the potential of the economy.
