Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, energy is expected to have the highest annual rate in
October (41.9%, compared with 40.7% in September), followed by food, alcohol & tobacco (13.1%, compared with
11.8% in September), non-energy industrial goods (6.0%, compared with 5.5% in September) and services (4.4%,
compared with 4.3% in September).
In Greece, annual inflation is expected to decrease to 9.8% in October, from 12.1% in September. The highest level of inflation in the Eurozone was recorded in October by Estonia (22.4%), Lithuania (22%) and Latvia (21.8%).
It is followed by the Netherlands (16.8%), Slovakia (14.5%), Belgium (13.1%) and Italy (12.8%). The lowest inflation in the eurozone is recorded by France (7.1%), Spain (7.3%) and Malta (7.5%).
