The tourist investment launched in the area of Vlachaika Hermionida by "Hydra Rock Akinita Monoprosopi A.E." was put into consultation until October 27, with the request to be comprised in the Greek strategic investments portfolio. It is noted that the firm represents Vardinoyiannis family interests.

The investment with a total budget of €475 million concerns the creation of an ultra-luxury hotel unit and a tourist village in the Peloponnese opposite the island of Dokos, on an area of which 1714.17 acres belong to the Municipality of Poros, in the Regional Unit of Islands of the Region of Attica, while the remaining 40 acres are located, at a distance of 700 meters, in the Metochi area of the Ermionida Municipality in the Peloponnese Regional Unit.

If the request is approved, it will be possible to draw up a Special Spatial Development Plan for Strategic Investments (S.H.A.S.E.), as well as to benefit from the fast-track licensing process.

The company with a share capital of €41 million "Hydra Rock Real Estate Sole Proprietorship A.E." was established last February with core activities including real estate development, development and management of hotel units, real estate buying and selling. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Ioannis Vardinogiannis, while the managing director is Mr. Evangelos Samaras.

According to the investors, the design and implementation principles of the project are based on sustainable development, energy saving, bioclimatic architecture and the circular economy.

The investment proposal concerns the creation of a resort which will offer quality tourism services of high added value, contributing to the upgrading of the Greek tourist product, while stimulating employment and the economy of the wider region.
