According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the construction of the project will last 12 months from the signing of the contract, while the financing is carried out by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and National Resources.
In particular, the project concerns the supply, installation and operation of new automation systems, as well as modern equipment for the remote control - remote management of water and energy saving through the control of leaks in the entire existing irrigation network of TOEB Nigritas, an area of 66,554 acres.
It refers to the following projects:
An irrigation network automation, remote control - remote control system consisting of five (5) Local Irrigation Stations and 61 Pipeline Supply Metering Points to monitor all critical parameters in the irrigation network infrastructure, a Central Control Station, procurement, installation and commissioning two (2) Telemetric Agro-meteorological Network Stations and a Portable Control Station.
Supply, installation and commissioning of 1,000 electric Waterspouts, as well as a cathodic protection system on the outlet pipes of the pumping stations for anti-corrosion protection of the network.
Upon completion of the procurement, the reduction of water consumption, at least by 30%, the reduction of energy consumption, the optimization of plant production and the increase of revenues of TOEB Nigritas will be achieved.
