This is an upgrade of the digital assistant (chatbot), an Artificial Intelligence (AI) application that has been in operation since last December, which uses artificial intelligence to answer citizens' simple or complex questions, directing them to carry out tasks.
Contracts will be checked based on existing legislation with the help of Artificial Intelligence, giving a ready recommendation to the relevant Land Registry officials. In this way, the relevant procedure, which is currently limited to 3.4 hours per contract for the legal audit, will be further reduced to just 15 minutes, with all the positive implications of this for the service of the citizen.
At the same time, the project of digitizing the archives in Athens, Thessaloniki, Piraeus and in 30 more mortgage offices is progressing, and encumbrance research can be carried out via computer from the address archive.ktimatologio.gr. At this moment, over 50 million pages of paper have been digitized, with the result that 90% of the traffic, of the transactions submitted in Athens, Thessaloniki, can be done digitally.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
Overall, with the new digital services of the land registry, professionals in the field, notaries, engineers, lawyers, service agents, but also citizens will be able to locate the property they are interested in anywhere in the country, get information about it, such as the square footage meters, perimeter, land use and to be informed of the actions they can take in areas where declarations are still being collected.
