The Regional Authority of South Aegean has approved the redevelopment of a listed building in Syros into a five-star hotel.

More specifically, it approved the payment of an amount of €116,375.99 and a rate of 25% of the approved grant, in accordance with the provisions of article 20 of Law 4339/2016 (Government Gazette 117 A'), as amended and in force by article 83 of Law 4582 /2018 (Government Gazette 208 A'), of the investment plan of the existing company with the name "SHIPYARD RESORT HOTEL SYROS ISLAND LIMITED COMPANY" with d.t. "SHIPYARD RESORT HOTEL SYROS ISLAND S.A", which has been subject to the provisions of law 4399/2016 with decision 151682/2724/09-10-2018/Π13/7/00002/Α/Ν.4399/9-10-2018 /Government Gazette/B/4912/2018 of the Regional Governor of the South Aegean for the support with the incentive of the grant amounting to €465,503.97 and a percentage decision granting a percentage of up to 25% of the approved grant L.4399/2016 3 / 3 28.095%, according to published information of the South Aegean Region.

According to the investment plan the listed building will be redeveloped into a five-star hotel, while the accommodation will, according to information unveiled by the Region, have a capacity of 20 beds and will be located in the area of Ermoupolis. 

Also, the total eligible cost of the investment is €1,687,816.08 with the total subsidized cost being €1,656,914.20.
