The project "Irrigation Network of Yperia N. Larissa - Orphanon N. Karditsa" worth more than €187 million recently got the "green light".
In particular, the scope of the Partnership concerns the study, financing, construction, maintenance and technical management, safeguarding, insurance and operation of the irrigation network in the Region of Thessaly, and specifically the geographical jurisdiction of the following areas:
1) Regional Unit of Larissa, Municipality of Farsala: a) Municipal Unit of Enipea (Community of Stavros, Community of Polineri, Community of Katochori, Community of Megalo Euhydri -Eikosmos Helliniko) b) Municipal Unit of Farsala (Community of Vrysia).
2) Regional Unit of Karditsa, Municipality of Palamas, Municipal Unit of Phyllos (Community of Orphans-ta Orphana, Phyllos Community, Lefki Community).
More specifically, the project concerns the improvement, expansion and modernization of the land improvement infrastructure with the construction of eleven (11) collective irrigation networks in the farms of Orfanon, Phyllos, Hyperion, Polynerio-Ellinikon, Vrysia and Katochori, which will irrigate a gross area of about 74,650 . sq. (net area of about 67,800 sq.), making use of water coming from existing municipal boreholes and owned by TOEB, with a total capacity of 14,345 m3 /h.
