New restoration projects were declared in school premises in Thessaly and Central Greece

All 33 schools will be delivered by the end of the year.

6 projects was inked between Building Infrastructures SA were signed at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and the contractor companies for the restoration of the damages caused to 33 school units in Thessaly and Central Greece by the catastrophic floods of last September.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, the president of KTYP S.A., Timoleon Katsipos, and the CEO of KTYP S.A., Athanasios Giannaris. The projects have a total budget of 30.5 million euros, financed by the Greek Shipowners' Union and are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The subject of the contracts is:

  • the restoration of damage to buildings and facilities,
  • the modernization of building and electromechanical facilities, and
  • the reconstruction and upgrading of the surrounding area.

All 33 schools will be delivered by the end of the year. The total budget of the contracts amounts to 30.5 million euros, financed by the Union of Greek Shipowners. This is yet another important initiative of social responsibility, an act of giving and solidarity by the Union.
