The settlement of the demarcation of the Rafina Stream, involving a total public expenditure of €105,852,413, forms part of the NSRF Program "Environment and Climate Change 2021-2027." This initiative is backed by a relevant decision from the Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis.

The Act specifically encompasses the restructuring of sections along both the lower and upper sides of the stream that flows through the Municipalities of Paiania, Pallini, Rafina-Pikermi, and Spata-Artemida. This includes the construction of a retention basin to manage transported materials, as well as the design and creation of a special cross-section at the confluence of the Nasioutzik estate with the existing Pallini stream. Additionally, the regulation of the Kallitechnoupoli-Valanari-Mill and Aghios Paraskevi streams is planned, along with the planting and regeneration of the surrounding area.

Furthermore, the project outlines provisions for the financing of required expropriations, the relocation of public utility networks, and the relocation of the water supply network in the Municipality of Rafina-Pikermi. It also includes coverage of expenses related to the archaeological research and work that may be necessary.

This project is co-financed by the Cohesion Fund, with a contribution of €97,997,810.
