Number of visitors in Greek Museums up in February 2024

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced the results of the Survey on Museums and Archaeological Sites Attendance for February 2024. More specifically:

During February 2024 compared with the corresponding month of 2023, museums recorded a 22.4% increase in the number of visitors and a 29.7% increase in the number of free admission visitors, as well as an 11.1% increase in their receipts.

As regards archaeological sites, in February 2024 compared with the corresponding month of 2023, an increase of 44.1% was recorded in the number of visitors, of 59.5% in the number of free admission visitors and of 33.0% in the corresponding receipts.

During the two-month period from January to February 2024, compared to the corresponding period of 2023, an increase of 11.8% was recorded in the number of visitors of museums, of 16.0% in the number of free admission visitors and of 7.9% in the relevant receipts.

As regards archaeological sites, during the two-month period from January to February 2024, compared to the corresponding period of 2023, an increase of 34.2% was recorded in the number of visitors, while an increase of 56.8% was observed in the number of free admission visitors and of 23.9% in the relevant receipts
