Olympia Odos and the University of Patras have established two annual scholarships worth 3,000 euros per year for 5-year period. The scholarships are available to students of the Departments of Civil Engineering and Geology.

Olympia Odos is committed to connecting the educational process with the planning and execution of significant infrastructure projects. The company invests in young people by rewarding high performers and encouraging them to work hard and continue learning and developing. Last February, the scholarship agreement was signed, inaugurating a new cycle of collaboration between Olympia Odos and the University of Patras.

On Tuesday, January 30, the University of Patras held the first-ever "OLYMPIA ODOS" scholarship award ceremony, where two outstanding students received scholarships. The recipients were

  • Evangelia-Konstantina Tulitsi, who completed her undergraduate studies in July 2023 and became the first graduate student of the department to be accepted into the Master's Program "Designing Durable, Sustainable, and Intelligent Infrastructures," and
  • Andrianna Galatis, an undergraduate student of the Department of Geology, who achieved the best performance in the academic year 2022-2023.

Panagiotis Papanikolas, the President and CEO of Olympia Odos, expressed his pride in the long-standing relationship with the University of Patras since the 1990s, starting with the construction of the Rio-Antirio Bridge and then the Corinth-Patras Bridge.

He acknowledged that these bridges have become iconic projects for the country, and the Olympia Highway is a modern highway that stands out for its use of technology to serve drivers. Papanikolas also expressed his excitement at helping young scientists complete their studies and join the production of projects.

He wished the scholarship recipients continued success and many accomplishments. Additionally, he emphasized that Olympia Odos would continue to strengthen and develop relations with all levels of the Educational Community.
