Overall Industrial Production up in January 2023
The Overall Industrial Production Index in January 2023, recorded an increase of 0.5% compared with January 2022.
The Hellenic Statistical Authority announced the Industrial Production Index (IPI) with base year 2015=100.0 for January 2023, the evolution of which, on the basis of provisional and working day adjusted data, is as follows:
The Overall Industrial Production Index in January 2023, recorded an increase of 0.5% compared with January 2022.
The Overall IPI in January 2022, decreased by 0.8% compared with the corresponding index in January 2021.
The seasonally adjusted Overall Industrial Production Index in January 2023 recorded a decrease of 1.3% compared with the corresponding index of December 2022.
The index of electricity supply division recorded the greatest percentage decrease, whereas the index of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers division showed the greatest percentage increase in January 2023 compared with December 2022.
Comparing the indices of January 2023 with the corresponding indices of January 2022, the greatest percentage
increase was recorded in mining of metal ores division, while the highest percentage decrease was recorded in
electricity supply division.
