Overall Volume Index in Retail Trade up 5,2% in March

The largest increases were recorded by pharmaceuticals - cosmetics and then by food - beverages.

The Overall Turnover Index in Retail Trade in March 2024 increased by 10.9%, compared with the corresponding index of March 2023, while compared with the corresponding index of February 2024 increased by 10.1% according to data unveiled by ELSTAT.

The Overall Volume Index in Retail Trade (i.e. turnover in retail trade at constant prices) in March 2024, increased by 5.2%, compared with the corresponding index of March 2023, while, compared with the corresponding index of February 2024, increased by 7.3%.

The seasonally adjusted Overall Turnover Index in March 2024, compared with the corresponding index of February 2024, increased by 6.5%.

The seasonally adjusted Overall Volume Index in March 2024, compared with the corresponding index of February 2024, increased by 6.2%.
