This is one of the most important reforestation and protection interventions of Mount Pentelikon as the area had suffered many times in the past and recently, the violent passage of fire.
The planting of over 1,000 new trees and shrubs is planned, while the Grove will be fully organized with special routes and facilities for walking, recreation and sports. The Grove will be protected by a complete automatic fire extinguishing network and a special fire protection zone.
The project is one of the commitments of the Mayor of Pallini, Thanasis Zoutsou and was studied, auctioned and is being built by the Municipality of Pallini.
Its budget amounts to €1 million and is co-financed by the Region of Attica and the Municipality of Pallini.
Three flagship redevelopments
Αποτελεί μια από τις τρεις (3) εμβληματικές αναπλάσεις συνολικού προϋπολογισμού 10 εκατομμυρίων ευρώ, που μελέτησε και προωθεί ο Δήμος Παλλήνης. Οι άλλες δυο αφορούν:
Α) στο Πάρκο Ρέματος Παναγίτσας στον Γέρακα, έκτασης 40.000 τ.μ. που θα αποτελεί μια πράσινη λεωφόρο, αναψυχής και δραστηριοτήτων, μήκους άνω του 1,6 χλμ. στην καρδιά του Γέρακα. Το έργο βρίσκεται στο τελικό στάδιο της ανάθεσης του και σύντομα υπογράφεται η σύμβαση κατασκευής.
Β) στη «διπλή ανάπλαση» του κέντρου της Παλλήνης και του κέντρου της Κάντζας, με εκτεταμένες παρεμβάσεις που θα αλλάξουν την εικόνα της πόλης. Ο Δήμος έχει ολοκληρώσει τη μελέτη του έργου και έχει εξασφαλίσει τη χρηματοδότηση του. Αναμένεται η έκδοση της απαραίτητης Κοινής Υπουργικής Απόφασης, προκειμένου να ξεκινήσει, αμέσως, η δημοπράτηση του έργου.
It is one of the three (3) emblematic renovations with a total budget of 10 million euros, studied and promoted by the Municipality of Pallini. The other two concern:
A) in the Panagitsa Stream Park in Gerakas, with an area of 40,000 sq.m. which will be a green boulevard of leisure and activities, more than 1.6 km long in the heart of Gerakas. The project is in the final stage of its commissioning and the construction contract will be signed soon.
B) in the "double regeneration" of the center of Pallini and the center of Kantza, with extensive interventions that will change the image of the city. The Municipality has completed the study of the project and has secured its financing. The issuance of the necessary Joint Ministerial Decision is expected, in order to start, immediately, the tendering of the project.
