According to a recent announcement by Athens International Airport (AIA) to the Athens Stock Exchange, both domestic and international passenger traffic exceeded last year’s figures by 8.0% and 15.7%, respectively.
In total, during the first eleven months of 2024, the airport's traffic reached 29.73 million passengers, reflecting a 13.0% increase. Domestic passenger traffic grew by 7.4%, while international traffic saw a more significant rise of 15.5%.
Additionally, the number of flights at Athens International Airport during the same period reached 250,006, marking an increase of 10.9% compared to the first eleven months of 2023. Domestic flights rose by 5.1%, while international flights grew by 15.4%.
