According to data unveiled, foreign passengers that used the airport reached 1.94 million passengers and -8.5% compared to August 2019.
Also, the movement of domestic passengers has practically "equalized" the percentages of 2019 as with 909 thousand passengers it was only -0.6% compared to the corresponding percentage of 2019.
In the eight months period ended in August Athens airport managed to attract 14.66 million passengers, a performance reduced by 15.1% compared to the first half of 2019. Domestic passengers showed a better percentage performance (4.84 million and -8.8 %) compared to foreign passengers (9.82 million and -17.9%).
