According to a company's announcement, "the proposed amendments to PPC's Articles of Association reinforce, reflect and indicate the transformation that has taken place in recent years from a company in the broader public sector to a company in the private sector, at the head of a diverse and large multinational Group, which operates, directly or indirectly, in several individual Markets, beyond this action, they are, in addition, an adaptation to the best practices and principles of corporate governance".
If the General Assembly of shareholders approve, PPC will be able, inter alia, to participate in companies providing financial or investment services, to carry out commercial and industrial activity in the field of telecommunications and IT services, as well as to provide services to third parties in issues of study, management and supervision of construction projects.
Among other changes, it will be able to participate in public tenders for Public-Private Partnership Contracts (PPP), as well as the establishment or participation in the share capital of Special Purpose Companies within the framework and execution of PPPs, while it is also foreseen to utilize in any way of the property, movable or immovable, of the company and the exploitation of its resources either by the company itself or through, for example, the establishment of companies, participation in joint ventures, as well as the acquisition of shares in other companies, Greek or foreign, and in general participation in businesses.
