It was approved, the signing of a practical agreement for the drawing up of a notarial agreement between the Municipality and the company "VHPH PROPERTIES" for the concession of a total of 11,576 sq.m. in the Countryside Area, which will be used by the Municipality for the creation of free urban green spaces and municipal sports facilities with the aim of environmental, aesthetic and functional upgrading of the area and improving the living conditions and quality of life of the local community.

The company's proposal was submitted in the context of its good and constructive cooperation with the Municipality in view of the planned investment entitled "Project Voula", with a budget of 136 million euros, on an area of 71 acres, known as the Koniari estate, which it bought in August 2020 from Benaki Museum.

After the initial tension and while any reconstruction effort in the disputed building blocks of the "EXOHI" area had been temporarily stopped by actions of the Municipality, the VHPH company expressed its desire to contribute to free public spaces and the creation of municipal sports facilities in the area. After many months of negotiations, exchanges of views and a progressive increase in the areas to be granted free of charge, the company's final proposal submitted to our Municipality for the signing of a practical agreement for the drawing up of a notarial contract emerged.
