According to ELSTAT the total value of exports-dispatches, in October 2023 amounted to 4,421.3 million euros (4,684.1 million dollars) in comparison with 4,849.4 million euros (4,779.1 million dollars) in October 2022, recording a drop, in euros, of 8.8%. The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded in October 2023 a drop of 41.4 million euros or 1.4% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in October 2023 recorded a drop of 48.2 million euros or 1.6%, in comparison with October 2022.
The deficit of the trade balance, in October 2023 amounted to 2,793.0 million euros (2,913.1 million dollars) in comparison with 4,106.4 million euros (3,994.2 million dollars) in October 2022, recording a drop, in euros, of 32.0%.The corresponding value of deficit excluding oil products in October 2023 recorded a drop of 320.7 million euros or 12.7% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in October 2023 recorded a drop of 159.4 million euros or 6.8%, in comparison with October 2022.
The total value of imports-arrivals, for the 10-month period from January to October 2023 amounted to 68,675.2 million euros
(73,970.7 million dollars) in comparison with 78,262.0 million euros (82,123.4 million dollars) for the corresponding period of
the year 2022, recording a drop, in euros, of 12.2%.The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded a drop of 1,690.7
million euros or 3.2% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships recorded a drop of 1,577.9 million euros
or 3.0%, in comparison with the period from January to October 2022.
The total value of exports-dispatches, for the 10-month period from January to October 2023 amounted to 42,867.5 million
euros (46,447.5 million dollars) in comparison with 46,143.8 million euros (48,675.4 million dollars) for the corresponding
period of the year 2022, recording a drop, in euros, of 7.1%. The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded a drop of
129.7 million euros or 0.4% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships recorded a drop of 216.1 million
euros or 0.7%, in comparison with the period from January to October 2022.
The deficit of the trade balance, for the 10-month period from January to October 2023 amounted to 25,807.7 million euros
(27,523.2 million dollars) in comparison with 32,118.2 million euros (33,448.0 million dollars) for the corresponding period of
the year 2022, recording a drop, in euros, of 19.6%. The corresponding deficit excluding oil products recorded a drop of
1,561.0 million euros or 6.9% and the corresponding deficit excluding oil products and ships recorded a drop of 1,361.8 million
euros or 6.1%.
The monthly data of Intra EU transactions, have been adjusted to the total trade transactions with EU countries, including the
transactions below the statistical threshold , on the basis of the Recapitulative Statements of Intra-EU Deliveries and
Acquisitions that are submitted by the enterprises to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue. Accordingly, the provisional
data from the “incomplete customs declarations” have been incorporated in the monthly data on trade with third countries and,
after having been completed, they will be replaced by the final data.
