Retail sales increased by 10.8% in February 2022

The volume of sales in the country's retail trade increased by 10.8% in February this year, as a decrease in turnover was recorded only in supermarkets and in general in food stores.

On the basis of the available data, in 2021 the total value of imports from Third Countries amounted to 31,305.4 million euro; imports of 20,331.1 million euro (64.95%) were invoiced in USA dollars ($), imports of 10,570.1 million euro (33.76%) were invoiced in euro (€), imports of 389.7 million euro (1.24%) were invoiced in a currency other than the national currency of the non-euro area Member States, the euro and the dollar, imports of 14.2 million euro (0.05%) were invoiced in non-defined currency (1) and finally, imports amounting to 0.2 million euro (0.00%) were invoiced in the national currency of the non-euro area Member States.

Similarly, in 2021, the total value of exports to Third Countries amounted to 18,475.6 million euro; exports of 10,444.7 million euro (56.53%) were invoiced in USA dollars ($), exports of 7,237.2 million euro (39.17%) were invoiced in euro (€), exports of 782.4 million euro (4.24%) were invoiced in a currency other than the national currency of the non-euro area Member States, the euro and the dollar, exports of 10.8 million euro (0.06%) were invoiced in non-defined currency (1) and finally, exports amounting to 0.4 million euro (0.00%) were invoiced in the national currency of the non-euro area Member States.
