Operations of the Skaramangas Shipyards are expected to be transferred to Giorgos Prokopiou by the end of the year while the operations of the Elefsina Shipyards will be trasfered to Panos Xenokostas and ONEX the latest by March 2023.

The news were shared by the Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, during a working lunch at the Piraeus Maritime Club, during an address on investments.

"Last year, Greece has recorded a 28 years high in investments. This is important because last year we were still in the heart of the pandemic, so in through a pandemic we achieved a 28-year investment record. This year, if we assume that by the end of the year we have no investment and just stick to what we have achieved so far, we are already at an all-time investment record."

Regarding the Shipyards, Mr. Georgiadis stated that "as for Syros, the shipyard there is fully operational. As for Skaramangas, I believe that the transfer to Giorgos Prokopiou will be completed by the end of the year. As far as Eleusis is concerned, we delivered to the banks the plan for the application to the court. This was not easy, it took a month of work to do. Our goal is to file in court by October 31st.
