TRAINOSE launches the new ETR 470 to service the Athens-Thessaloniki route

The new upgraded train carriages ETR 470 was launched to service the Thessaloniki - Athens route which will now have a total travel duration of 3 hours and 55 minutes.

With the ETR trains, TRAINOSE launches a new travel experience aiming at the best service of the passengers, offering additional daily itineraries with more comfort and luxury on the route Athens-Thessaloniki-Athens.

People want to travel and we offer an upgraded level of service with the ETR 470, which we will enrich even more. With the train the passenger can relax, enjoy a travel experience For us it was important to break the 4-hour barrier ", TRAINOSE' General Commercial Director Roberto Biasin said. Mr. Biasin, emphasized on the new philosophy of benefits that makes the travel process easier. Mr Biasin pointed out that the next step was to further reduce the travel time to 3 hours and 20 minutes once some infrastructure on the railway network had been completed.

The ETR470 trains have nine carriages, one of which is a restaurant and bar, three first class carriages and five economy class cars. Each train can carry up to 475 passengers and includes all the amenities, for a relaxing and fast journey.
