This step is achieved by the submission of the relevant technical report which will be signed by the Regional Governor of Attica G. Patoulis, the Authorized Advisor of HRADF P. Stamboulidis and the Minister of Environment and Energy K. Skrekas.
It should be noted that this specific project is part of a total budget of approximately €475 million which is expected to change the shape of the coastal front of Attica. It refers to the reshaping of the beach front in a length of more than 10 kilometers from Kallithea to Vouliagmeni and includes the creation of cycle paths, consolidation of spaces, sidewalks and other facilities.
The Financial Committee of the Attica Region has already approved the conclusion of the relevant contract between the Region and TAIPED as well as its terms. The subject of the eligible project is the unification of the coastline from the Municipality of Kallithea to the City Hall of Vari - Voula - Vouliagmeni. It covers six municipalities (Kallithea, P. Faliro, Alimos, Hellinikon-Argyroupoli, Glyfada,
Vari – Voulas – Vouliagmenis). A single network with a bicycle path and a pedestrian path is to be created. It is estimated that the project will cover about 13.5 kilometers.
The budget amounts to 24,713,200 euros (including VAT, financed by the European Union (Recovery and Resilience Fund). The beneficiary of the project is the Region of Attica. and according to the plan, the implementation of the investment will completed by December 31, 2025.
