The Council of State (StE) rejected the appeal filed by the Vinci - Mytilineos consortium for the Attica Road concession tender.

It is recalled that the GEK TERNA group was declared the preferred investor in this tender with an offer of €3.27 billion.

The second highest offer was submitted by the joint venture of the French group with Mytilineos which initially appealed in early October, to the Independent Authority for the Examination of Pre-Trial Appeals - by which it was rejected - and then to the CoE as it questioned the documentation of finding resources for its financial offer GEK TERNA.

The project concerns the awarding of a service concession contract for the financing, operation, maintenance and exploitation of the Attica Road for a period of 25 years. The existing concession contract for the country's most profitable road axis expires at the beginning of October 2024. The project is already in operation, while its major maintenance will be completed on the date of transfer to GEK TERNA.
