The Court of Auditors grants approval to the new concession contract for the Attica Road.

The aim is to sign the contract in September and then to ratify the new law on the contract by the Parliament with the final "station" being the financial closure.

It is recalled that GEK TERNA had bid in September 2023 in the tender for the 25-year operation, financing, maintenance and exploitation of the motorway, submitting an offer of 3.27 billion euros.

The contract with the existing concession scheme expires in October 2024 and then Attiki Odos will be under the management of the State, until GEK TERNA takes over the project, which will have to wait a few months until the bureaucratic procedures are completed, so that to take over and operate the large axis of Attica within 2025.
