The new Building Regulation was published in the Government Gazette.

The total of 39 articles regulating the construction of construction works apply to all regions and settlements of the country, located either inside or outside the approved city plans.

The current special regulations prevail over the general provisions of this regulation.

The competent authority for its implementation is the Construction Service.

The previous regulation applies if a legal building permit had been issued and is still valid, or an application for the issuance or review of a building permit with all the data and supporting documents required by the relevant provisions had been submitted to the competent urban planning department,

The previous provisions also apply in the case that it had been approved by the competent body within the last three years and a study of a special building related to its functionality with or without derogations is valid, as well as in the case that an application had been submitted to the relevant agency within the last year with a complete architectural study which is provided for by relevant provisions for the granting of pre-approval of a building permit, or an architectural competition has been announced in accordance with the provisions in force at any given time or following a call for expressions of interest
