It is the third intervention carried out in different parts of the center to restore the road surface, with the pioneering method of colored asphalt stamping.
With this technique, there is the aesthetic of cobblestones on the surface of the road surface, while it is also characterized by the stability of reinforced asphalt.
At the same time, the coating with the special material of nanoceramic technology, helps to insulate the road surface so that in the summer months it does not store heat and warms the microclimate of the area.
The roads that will be intervened are developed on Kyriazi & Levidou streets between Alonia & Othonos streets. The works are carried out with road sections blocked until 7/4/2023.
The project is being completed gradually as its progress depends on weather conditions and ambient temperature. With the completion of the works, the traditional center will have a solid elegant road surface that will contribute to the picturesqueness of the landscape along with the strong presence of greenery, the well-known shops, the beautiful café-restaurants and the elegant buildings.
The project will be carried out in four stages to facilitate traffic regulations. Asphalting works with stamped colored asphalt have already been completed on Kyriazi Street to Levidou (from Alonia to before the entrance to the parking lot (Levidou 3). Next is the section from the parking lot (Levidou 3) to before the intersection with Panagitsas Street.
For the time periods when work will be done in specific sections, there will be warning signs that will give alternative routes. The project is carried out under the supervision of the Engineers of the Technical Service of the Municipality of Kifissia.
