As Mr. Panagiotis Stamboulidis, Executive Member of the Board and Authorized Advisor of HRADF, said at the Southeast Europe Connectivity Forum II conference held in Thessaloniki "the competition ends on November 15, while by Christmas we will have concluded by the new year we will be able to move quickly."
Mr. Stampoulidis underlined the importance it will have for the development of the region, but also in general the operation of the logistics center in Gonou, since beyond the creation of jobs it will contribute to what we call the development of infrastructures that are very useful for connectivity.
He noted the special importance the country attaches to the construction of the two logistics centers in Gonou and Fili, and that the infrastructure for HRADF is overall a great exercise for development. In fact, he emphasized that with total funds reaching €800 million for logistics and with the leveraging of funds from the private initiative, while the state secures the land and the institutional framework, a golden opportunity is created overall. And all this, as he underlined, at a time when the country has a significant growth rate.
Also, he pointed out that with the investments and development of ThPA S.A., Piraeus Port Authority SA, but also the ports of Alexandroupolis, Kavala, Igoumenitsa and Volos in the next period, an integrated infrastructure system is being created. Mr. Stampolidis said that all this naturally leads to connectivity and regional cooperation and announced the upgrading of the conference center of the Gardens which will contribute in this direction.
