In further details the Hellenic Train-Damco scheme submitted a file for the project amounting to €696 million (amount without VAT €561.04 million) which comprises the operation, maintenance, exploitation, completion of the studies, construction of projects and supply of equipment for the Freight Railway Station and Sorting Station of Thriasio Pedio.
The property is approximately 1,450 acres, owned by OSE, on which railway infrastructure, access roads, railway marshalling yard, cargo depots, customs and office premises, as well as warehouses and other support buildings have been constructed and still exist.
The concession contract's duration, including the period of execution of the technical work, was set at 30 years.
It is been reminded that the previous tender was declared barren, as the only offer submitted again by Hellenic Train - Damco was outdated.
