The world's tallest wellness building is being constructed in Dubai and is expected to open its doors to the public in 2028.

The announcement was made by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.

The resort, named "Therme Dubai," is a key component of Dubai's 2033 Quality of Life Strategy and will stand at 100 meters in height. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the project is set to become a landmark addition to the city’s skyline.

Dubai is investing over $545 million into the development of Therme Dubai, which will feature the world's largest indoor botanical garden and is expected to attract 1.7 million visitors annually. The resort will be located in Zabeel Park and is slated to open in 2028. This project not only reflects Dubai’s commitment to urban biodiversity and environmental sustainability but also aims to provide enriching experiences for both residents and visitors.

In May 2024, Dubai launched its "Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033," with the goal of enhancing the well-being of the community and establishing the emirate as the best place to live in the world. The strategy focuses on transforming Dubai into a pedestrian, environmentally, and family-friendly city, ensuring that residents have access to services within a 20-minute radius.

The strategy also includes plans to develop at least 200 new parks, expand cycling lanes along beaches by 300%, increase nighttime swimming beaches by 60%, and introduce a new beach exclusively for women. The initiative will also extend to the development of Dubai’s more remote areas. Through this project, the emirate aims to create a city that offers a higher quality of life for all its residents.
