Three tourism investments totaling €1.2B have been approved as strategic

They will receive fast-track licensing and Special Spatial Plans for Strategic Investments (ESCHASE).

The Interministerial Committee for Strategic Investments has approved three strategic investments in the tourism sector, with a total budget of €1.22 billion.

The Committee convened under the chairmanship of Minister of Development, Takis Theodorikakos, with the participation of Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodore Skylakakis, Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, Minister for State, Makis Voridis, and Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis.

These three investments, which will receive incentives for fast-track licensing and Special Spatial Development Plans for Strategic Investments through the General Secretariat for Private Investments, focus on the development of high-quality tourism with sustainability criteria in areas that can offer significant development prospects for the local community.

The strategic investment by HYDRA ROCK REAL ESTATE SINGLE-MEMBER S.A., with a budget of €474 million, includes the creation of an iconic, sustainable luxury resort in the Ermionida area.

The strategic investment by GH HOTEL HOTELIER AND TOURISM SINGLE-MEMBER ANONYMOUS COMPANY, with a budget of €224 million, aims to develop an ultra-luxurious ecological resort and high-end holiday homes on the island of Petalion, part of the Evian island complex.

The strategic investment by ASTAKOS TERMINAL ANONYMOUS COMPANY FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND SERVICES, with a budget of €524 million, concerns the transformation of the NE.VIP. Port of Platygiali in the Astakos region of Aetolia-Acarnania into a tourist port for mega yachts, along with the development of commercial uses and high-quality tourism and leisure services.
