The New Microfinance Fund TEPICH III provides financing of up to €25,000 without collateral, filling a critical gap in the market. The co-financing rates are 60% for general entrepreneurship and 75% for female entrepreneurship.

The TMEDE, through its subsidiary TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, has entered into a new collaboration with the Hellenic Development Bank to participate in the TEPICH III program. This partnership aims to provide direct access to highly attractive financing for young engineers, freelancers, and small businesses, with a particular focus on female entrepreneurship.

The President of TMEDE, Konstantinos Makedos, who participated in an event presenting the New Microfinance Fund managed by the Hellenic Development Bank, organized by the Bank of Greece and attended by the Governor of the Bank of Greece, Mr. Yiannis Stournaras, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis, and the CEO of the Hellenic Development Bank, Ms. Ismini Papakyriou, highlighted the significant multiplier benefits that the new Microfinance Fund, TEPICH III, brings to the economy and businesses.

President Makedos outlined the opportunities offered by TMEDE Microfinance Solutions to small and micro businesses in the technical sector, emphasizing that "their strengthening also serves a national duty, namely the protection of infrastructure and the execution of all RRF projects and the restoration of damages from natural disasters."

Specifically referring to TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, he stated that since the launch of the pioneering digital platform in June 2023, 439 applications have been submitted, 355 disbursements have been approved, and funds exceeding €7.4 million have been provided to 328 active borrowers.

Furthermore, he noted the exceptional level of interest from the targeted beneficiaries, as in just 15 days of operation of TEPICH III, over 195 requests have been submitted to TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, with the following breakdown:

  • 39% of eligible applications are from female entrepreneurs
  • 57% of applications come from regions outside Attica
  • 23% of applications are from startups
  • The average microfinance application amount exceeds €21,000
