As announced by Olympia Odos, due to the reconstruction works on the bridge, the left lane (towards Athens) will be closed and two-way traffic will be implemented on the right lane (towards Corinth) over a distance of 1 km (from km 75.2 to km 76.2), with 2 lanes available towards Corinth and 2 lanes available towards Athens, as shown in the following schematic diagram:
It is noted that, according to the decision No. 2501/10/717/501-g dated 11.01.2025 by the Directorate of Corinth Police, the following traffic regulations will apply in the area during the period of the traffic measures:
A. The entrance of the Epidaurus junction (km 76.4) towards Athens will be closed. Those wishing to enter the highway via this junction towards Athens will be directed, via the relevant informational signage, to the previous Corinth junction (km 81.1), where they will make a U-turn and re-enter the highway (as shown by the red dashed line). Light vehicles (<3T) can also be served via the submerged bridge at the Isthmus.
B. The circulation of all trucks with a maximum permissible weight of over 3.5 tons will be prohibited on the section from the Loutraki Junction (km 75.4) to the Epidaurus Junction (km 76.4):
Every Friday from 16:00 to 21:00 and every Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00 in the direction towards Corinth.
Every Sunday from 15:00 to 22:00 in both directions.
For truck drivers, it is noted:
In the direction towards Patras, they can alternatively be served via the old national road (P.E.O.), exiting the highway at the Loutraki junction and re-entering at the Epidaurus junction.
In the direction towards Athens, there is no alternative route available, and they should plan their schedules accordingly or wait in a designated area before the restricted zone (e.g., Kiatou service area, Spathovouni service area) during the restriction period.
C. During the weekend, if traffic conditions require, a temporary third lane towards Athens may be opened via the closed left lane.
Olympia Odos requests that drivers comply with the relevant signage and the instructions of the Traffic Police, and exercise increased caution while passing through the area.
