Two new funding programs to be launched soon for SMEs

Two new schemes for small and medium-sized enterprises with a total budget of €350 million co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Greek State, are expected to be launched next month.

The first one refers to the establishment of new micro small, small and medium-sized enterprises, in selected KAD of all sectors of the economy, except catering, retail trade and tourism.

Budget: €190,000,000

Proposals may be submitted by newly established medium, small and micro enterprises, as defined in Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC.

The term newly established businesses are defined as businesses for which 12 months of continuous operation have not passed from the date of the start of the business up to the date of the announcement of the action.

The selected eligible activity code numbers (ACNs) will be defined in the Action's Detailed Call.

Establishment and Operation of new Small and Medium Tourism Enterprises

The second refers to the Establishment and Operation of new Small and Medium-sized Tourism Enterprises", selected KAD of tourism.

Budget: €160,000,000

Eligible are established and newly established medium, small and very small enterprises that are expected to be active in the tourism sector, as defined in Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC.

The term newly established businesses are defined as businesses for which 12 months of continuous operation have not passed from the date of the start of the business up to the date of the announcement of the action.
