The new U.S. customs tariffs on products imported from dozens of economies came into effect today, as part of President Donald Trump’s initiative to establish a new global trade order.

Additional “retaliatory” tariffs came into effect at 07:01 (Greek time), replacing the previous 10% base tariffs that had been applied since April on nearly all products imported into the United States from most countries.

These tariffs exhibit significant variation, ranging from 15% to 41%.

The European Union, Japan, and South Korea—among the United States' principal trading partners—are subject to tariffs of 15% on most of their products.
