Updates on the government park that is to be based in the former PYRKAL factory premises

The construction and operation of the Government Park at the premises of the former PYRKAL factory through a PPP was decided at the meeting of the Government Committee on Contracts of Strategic Importance.

This Government committee is made up of 12 Ministers and is responsible for the preparation and approval of the Development Program for Contracts of Strategic Importance.

The tender is scheduled in the beginning of 2023 with the an initial cost estimated at around €250 million. The area that spans c.154.8 acres is located on the borders of the Metropolitan Center of Athens in a central area of ​​the Municipality of Dafni - Ymittos. 

Today it is occupied by 93 facilities (91 of them buildings) with a total coverage of 68,084.95 sq.m. and building 88,670.7 sq.m. Of these, 25 buildings will be preserved while another five will be constructed. The total construction will reach 148,704 sq.m. of which 98,000 will concern the 5 new buildings.

The ministries planned to be transferred are: Ministries of Finance, Development and Investments, Environment and Energy, Labor and Social Affairs, Rural Development and Food, Health, Tourism, Culture and Sports, Interior. 

The same applies to bodies such as AADE, HCAP, HPPC, HRADF.
