Specifically, as stated in a related announcement, the facility includes a Waste Treatment Unit (W.T.U.) with a total incoming capacity of 34,472 tons/year, a Biowaste Treatment Unit (B.T.U.), as well as the Expansion of the Residual Waste Landfill (R.W.L.) with a capacity of 235,000m³, as outlined in the Regional Waste Management Plan (R.W.M.P.) of Western Greece.
The project, valued at €33,528,960, is expected to serve over 70,000 residents in Nafpaktos, as well as neighboring municipalities of Messolonghi and Thermo, and is expected to be completed by 2027.
