The residence is located in Los Altos Hills and borders a protected area. It was completed in the 1960s and spans in a total area of 474 square meters.
When a couple with two children bought the Round House - the architect who designed it is unknown - they did not know exactly what it meant to renovate the property.
"Customers fell in love with this bizarre circular home and initially planned a limited remodel," said the architects from the San Francisco-based office. According to deezen.com, the walls and ceiling were rebuilt and the exterior was re-covered with thermally aged accoya wood. Changes were made to the floor plan, including the reciprocal change of areas between the master bedroom and the common areas.
