Greek manufacturing sector deteriorated sharply in December as demand conditions worsened and production was further decreased.

According to the latest PMI data from S&P Global, the seasonally adjusted Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector in Greece closed at 47.2 points in December, down from 48.4 points in November.

The latest data indicated a steady and faster deterioration of the operating conditions in the companies of the Greek manufacturing sector. The decline was the fastest on record in two years.
