The Consumer Prices Index, including owner-occupier housing costs (CPIH), rose by 3.2% in the 12 months to October in UK, up from 2.6% in September.

On Wednesday, November 20, the UK Inflation Report influenced sentiment toward the Bank of England rate path.

The UK’s annual headline inflation rate increased to 2.3% in October, up from 1.7% in September.

Significantly, the inflation rate exceeded the BoE’s 2% target. Economists had expected an inflation rate of 2.2%, emphasizing the significance of the increase.
