Iqon Capital agreed to buy the total of seven buildings known as “The
Connection” on behalf of Aljazira Capital for an undisclosed figure, it
said in a statement on Tuesday according to Bloomberg.
Vodafone sold the property as part of a sale and leaseback transaction for four long-term UK head office properties.
The campus comprises seven office buildings that have served as Vodafone's UK headquarters since its construction in the early 2000s. The seven properties have a net floor area of 45,226 sq m. and are located on 38 acres of land.
From 2022, Vodafone has implemented a new flexible working model for its 10,000 employees in the UK, which includes a combination of telecommuting and working in physical office space. The remaining three properties will be completely renovated into high-quality workplaces.
