Hellenic Cadastre goes fully digital across Laconia

Specifically, as of Monday, 12 October 2026, the municipalities of Sparta, East Mani, Elafonisos, Evrotas and Monemvasia, within the Regional Unit of Laconia in the Peloponnese Region, have been integrated into the Cadastre system.

The incorporation of an additional 326,754 properties and 426,817 property rights into the operational Cadastre marks the beginning of a new era of speed, transparency and legal certainty in property transactions. The transition is expected to reduce bureaucracy and make everyday procedures easier for citizens and professionals.

With these areas now integrated, the Regional Unit of Laconia gains a comprehensive and modern Cadastre, leaving time-consuming procedures behind. Citizens and professionals will have direct access to digital services designed to ensure transparency, efficiency and the protection of property rights.

Furthermore, the comprehensive recording of legal and geographical information for all properties will simplify day-to-day transactions and serve as a key driver of regional development, supporting sound spatial planning and attracting new investment to the area.

Digital Services of the Hellenic Cadastre

From now on, all transactions with the Cadastre will be conducted exclusively through digital channels, subject to applicable exceptions.

The available digital services include:

• Digital submission of notarial deeds, except in specific cases.
• Digital processing of legal instruments by lawyers, including the registration and cancellation of prenotation of mortgage and other security interests.
• Electronic submission of judicial documents through court bailiffs.
• Electronic submission of documents by public authorities, including the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).
• Digital applications for corrections and obvious errors, with no paper-based submissions.
• Online access to the cadastral database, with property searches conducted exclusively via the internet.
• Digital correction of property boundary and geometric data.
• 24/7 electronic issuance of certificates and copies.
• Electronic document filing and protocol registration, eliminating the need for physical document submissions.
• Abolition of the requirement for revenue stamps on applications and certificates.
• Exclusive use of electronic payments, including e-banking and point-of-sale (POS) transactions.

The operating hours for in-person cadastral research are 08:30–13:30, following a uniform schedule across the country.

The Municipality of Elafonisos is included in the newly integrated areas.

Municipality of Monemvasia

The Municipality of Monemvasia is included in the newly integrated areas.

Through the implementation of the Cadastre project, the Regional Unit of Laconia becomes part of the broader digital transformation of public administration, which aims to create a more efficient state that better serves the needs of citizens.
